We take data security extremely seriously and handle your data with the same care and consideration you'd want us to.
We despise being spammed by unwanted emails so have no intention of doing the same to you.
All of this is kept in our secure database and never shared with third parties.
We only ask for the minimum information we consider necessary to provide the best experience. It is our responsibility to keep your data safe and confidential. When you send emails to the developer, the software version will be included. This is used for the developer to know what version you use. This information helps the developer to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
We ask for your consent to grant us permission to access your premise server and database as soon as you open the software. Your remote access is also used for updating exe, update version, execute database script and fixing you reported issues.
We may collect personal identification information from users in a variety of ways. When you send an email to the developer, your email address will be known by the developer. When you leave some comments on the Facebook fans page, your Facebook name will be known by the developer. When you use the cloud feature, you have to register an account with your email address. Thus, your email address will also be known by the developer. Note that Smart Books will NOT know your password of your Gmail account. Smart Books will protect your personal information. Your personal information will NOT be known by any third-party
By using Smart Books, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use Smart Books. Your continued use of the Smart Books following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

We only store user passwords that are first hashed using bcrypt. Your password is never stored in our database in an unencrypted, or decryptable, format. You are responsible for choosing a strong password and keeping it secret.
When we need to store secrets or API keys on your behalf then they will be stored in an encrypted form. The encrypted credentials are only accessible by internal services that need those credentials to function.
Smart Books allows you to securely give employees and team members access to your primary account. Any team member that admin adds will be able to access your primary account using their own user account, and login. No sharing of passwords is necessary (please don't do this!). You are able to instantly revoke an individual's access at any time.
We will only access your account to respond to support requests, and seek your consent before proceeding. The exception is if there is suspected abuse or an urgent security reason.
When working on a support issue we do our best to use the minimal amount of data needed to resolve your issue.
The central function of Smart Books product is order software license. You will be able to use this product offline. Where Smart Books is used solely offline, the data you enter will be stored de-centrally on your storage medium. In such a case, we will not be able to access these data.
If you use Smart Books in combination with a registered account, all data and tasks entered will be integrated into a database. The purpose of this database is to allow you to use Smart Books at various different levels and call up your tasks anywhere and at any time. Data are transmitted to the respective terminal using SSL encryption so that your data are transmitted securely.
We use personal data in order to enable secure, effective and user-related use of Smart Books services, including for:
If your data are no longer required for the aforementioned purposes, we will delete them. Completed tasks will remain stored and will be marked "Completed" in the database. If you delete your account, we will also delete all data completely from your account (lists, tasks and shared lists). Data you have entered in lists belonging to third parties will remain in existence as these are part of third-party accounts. If data has to be retained for statutory reasons, these will be blocked and will then no longer be available for any further use.
